Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. Her mother is the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been for a long time, starting at her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was later hired to the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs throughout Texas as well as Mexico. Her duties as an anchor on sports and weather was regularly requested. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional responsibility. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. There is an older sister. The family moved from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother and she then remarried in 1995 a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta was a senior in high school and knew exactly what career path she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her Antonietta went to visit the university. As it turned out she was a fan of the university and the university offered the degree she was searching for. After completing her high school education, she attended the University to pursue media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in her class, formed an ongoing friendship with the student. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
